Natchez, MS Windsor Ruins

So your probably wondering what these beautiful columns are right? It's a very interesting story. While my friends and I were staying in Natchez at my friend's plantation we decided to go down the Natchez Trace and stop at all the historic sites. We came across this one and I believe it was our favorite.

The story goes......

Smith Coffee Daniell II was a cotton planter. He completed the construction of Windsor in 1861 only to die a few weeks later (sooo sad :( ) His wife and children though continued to live at windsor. They lost alot of their family's holdings during the Civil War but the plantation managed to survive :) However, the plantation was destroyed by an accidental fire Feb 17, 1890. Everything was lost except for the columns and the ironwork. All photographs though of the house and family were destroyed but historians found a sketch of the windsor it was sketched in 1863 by a union soldier in Major General Ulysses S. Grants army.

The columns are gigantic! so beautiful if only the rest of the house was still there :( last photo is the sketch of the house

Hilari Senior Pics

This session was fun. Hilari is a sweet and beautiful girl. She has such gorgeous hair but the wind kept messing it up through out the whole shoot. Literally i would lift my camera to take a shot and woooosh her hair would fly into her face. It was also realllllly bright and hot outside but we pulled through with alot of great shots. Hilari is photogenic and i love that about my clients

Rock the Pub

My boyfriend and his band had a show at the pilots pub out in laffy. Along with them played Godspeed the Jackal both bands played very awesome!!! They are very talented and I enjoyed taking pics while they played. Check out their myspace they are amazing live.

Rebecca and Seth Engagement

So for my first blog I figured I would post my last session I did with the soon to be newlyweds Rebecca and Seth. They were absolutely ahmazing! I hardly had to pose them which was awesome they were just so natural the chemistry between them was beautiful! I can't wait to take pics at their wedding Congrats Rebecca and Seth:) Oh and this was also Rebecca's Senior Pics. I'm new to this so i hope the pics post a good size if not oh well ill get it next time:)
